Telling someone who stutters to slow down is a big no-no. While you may think you are helping you really aren't. All you will achieve is making them self conscious and cause them to stutter more. Another thing to never do is finish a sentence or word that someone is having trouble with. This is very infuriating and can cause a stutter to rise in quantity.
